Formula 1’s all-female feeder series, F1 Academy, is getting the Drive to Survive treatment.
Reese Witherspoon’s production company Hello Sunshine has begun filming a currently untitled multi-part docuseries, which promises to give fans a peek behind the helmets of the sport’s up-and-coming drivers.
‘What we know is that when we put women at the centre, people show up to watch,’ Witherspoon said last week.
‘We started Hello Sunshine to change the narrative for women, and Susie Wolff and F1 Academy are doing just that by creating new opportunities in the thrilling world of motorsport,’ she went on, referring to the series’ managing director, and wife of Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff.
