Deion Sanders pocketed an extra $250,000 last December at the conclusion of Colorado's losing season.

According to USA Today, the school paid Sanders the hefty bonus as a thank you for generating $343 million in 'earned media value.'

He was reportedly paid the sum on December 1, less than one week after his team played their final game

'The employee recognition bonus is a discretionary bonus awarded by Athletic Director Rick George for the immense impact Coach Prime has made on the football program, the Athletic Department, and the university in his first season,' the Boulder-based school said in a statement.

The outlet noted that the school generated $87 million of earned media value in 2022, meaning Sanders helped increase that figure almost four times over in 2023.

The Buffaloes finished the season just 1-8 despite significant star power in his son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and All-Pac-12 First Team wide receiver and cornerback Travis Hunter.

Deion's son Shilo is also on the team, and has been making a name for himself outside of the sports world.

Most recently, he portrayed his father in one scene during the season three finale of 50 Cent's Starz series, BMF.

In the episode, he played a young version of his 'Coach Prime' dad, circa the early 90s.

'Season 3 Episode 10 guess who's playing a Young PRIME! I'm so proud of [Shilo] he did the Doggone THANG!' the Buffaloes coach wrote on Instagram in May.

'Good Lawd the SANDERS boys are exercising all the gifts that GOD gave them and having fun living this life that we only get 1 shot at,' he added.

The crime drama series, executive produced by the In Da Club rapper, follows the true story of brothers Demetrius 'Big Meech' and Terry 'Southwest T' Flenory, who created one of the most influential crime families in American history.

The 'Black Mafia Family' founders built the nation's most prominent drug distribution network, and came into contact with Deion while he was playing for the Atlanta Falcons in the early 90s.

'They were introduced by a mutual acquaintance during Meech's time in Atlanta while Deion played for the Falcons,' Starz said in an email, per USA Today.

'Meech would visit Deion's Atlanta club, aptly named `Prime Time 21,' because of Sanders' nickname and jersey number.'
