Troubled boxing superstar Ryan Garcia has been labelled by some on social media as 'the Kanye West of boxing' over recent months and the comparison certainly has some merit.
Garcia, who will take on WBC super lightweight champion Devin Haney for his title on April 20 in a much-anticipated grudge match in New York, has hit the headlines for his alarming activity on social media and in interviews.
Earlier this week, Garcia posted that Australian porn star Savannah Bond had accepted his marriage proposal after filing for divorce from his wife Andrea Celina in January, after she had given birth to their second child.
He raised concerns on March 3 when a disturbing video claiming Garcia was dead after having his 'throat slit' was shared to his social-media accounts, which marked the first of a series of troubling posts by the boxer over the next 72 hours.

Garcia also alleged he was raped by a family member at the age of two, has picture evidence of aliens existing and has witnessed children being raped after being tied up in woodland by 'the elites'.
He then continued his bizarre rant by claiming an earthquake is set to 'destroy' Hollywood and Las Vegas while labelling X chief Elon Musk the 'Antichrist'.
Kanye West, who has also partnered-up with a sometimes scantily clad Australian model, has become known for controversial remarks and often unhinged behaviour in recent years.
The rapper said he 'likes' and 'loves' Hitler', defended Nazis and denied the Holocaust during an appearance on Alex Jones' podcast Infowars in 2022 that many viewers described as a live on-air mental breakdown.
Wearing a fabric mask to cover his entire face, West ranted: 'I see good things about Hilter... every human being has something of value that they brought to the table, especially Hitler.'
Later, he said the Germans 'had a really good leader at one point', and denied that Hitler had ordered the deaths of six million Jews.
'He didn't kill six million Jews. That's just factually incorrect,' West said in what were by some measure, his most anti-Semitic remarks to date.
'I'm not trying to be shocking. I like Hitler. The Holocaust is not what happened... Hitler has a lot of redeeming qualities,' he said.

Even Jones, who is no stranger to controversy, seemed visibly uncomfortable at times throughout the three hour broadcast.
During a recent interview, Garcia revealed that he had requested the American rapper join him on his walkout to the ring for his fight with Haney - however, the rapper declined because of remarks the boxer had made about Sean Love Combs (also known as P. Diddy).
In a lengthy rant on X, Garcia unloaded on West in a tirade that mentioned his antisemetic controversy, his terminated adidas deal and his divorce from Kim Kardashian.
Then on Monday, the boxer did a 180 and announced that West will walk out with him for the Haney fight at New York City’s Barclays Center. Whether it happens or not is anybody's guess.
Garcia is heading into April 20 with a 24-1 record and 20 knockouts, with his lone defeat coming against Gervonta Davis in April 2023. He has since bounced back with a win over Oscar Duarte in December.
Meanwhile, Haney is undefeated, with 31 wins and 15 knockouts. He is coming off two consecutive wins against George Kambosos Jr, followed by victories over Vasiliy Lomachenko and Regis Prograis.
