Revealed: The X-rated gift Tom Daley gave to his Olympic diving partner Noah Williams for his 21st birthday - as the duo clinch silver in Paris

Tom Daley clinched his fifth Olympic medal on Monday, as he and his diving partner Noah Williams won silver in the 10m synchronised platform event in Paris.

It was a monumental occasion for both divers, with Daley affirming himself as one of Team GB's most decorated athletes, having now won bronze at London 2012 and at Rio 2016, before going on to clinch another bronze medal and gold at Tokyo 2020.

Speculation had arisen that Daley, 30, could retire from the sport after winning gold in Tokyo, but he was selected to partner with Williams, 24, in Paris after taking some time away from the sport. It came after Daley's partner Matty Lee was ruled out of this year's Games having undergone spinal surgery.

Since partnering up, Daley and Williams have grown to become close friends, with the former revealing that he had given his Olympic diving partner an X-rated gift for his 21st birthday.

During their preparation for the Games, Daley posted a Q&A with himself and Williams on his YouTube channel in which he revealed the cheeky present he gave to his diving partner.

'It was his 21st birthday, we're in the middle of Budapest. I was like "what am I going to get him for his birthday?"' Daley said during the video.

'You know what, I've got the yarn, I've a crochet book, so I'm going to make a c**k sock. I basically go by the one-size-fits-most rule.'

Williams followed up by stating: 'The other part of the question is are you surprised that I've actually worn it a few times?'

'No I'm not,' Daley replied before joking, 'I think you actually posted a photo on your OnlyFans.

'It’s nice that they’re actually used because most of the time people use it as a little novelty thing that never actually gets used.'

Some Olympic divers, including Jack Laugher, have revealed that they are using OnlyFans to raise money - with athletics and boxing being the only sports that gives competitors prize money if they win.

Daley is happily married to husband Dustin Lance Black, an American screenwriter, who was pictured inside the Aquatics Centre on Monday watching his partner, along with the couple's two children, Robbie and Phoenix.

The pair met in Los Angeles at a dinner party in 2013 and were married in 2017 at Bovey castle in Devon

The pair were married in 2017 and during the YouTube video, Daley was also asked whether Williams was his type.

‘I like broad shoulders. I like a swimmer’s physique,' he said recounting the characteristics of his partner, Lance.

‘Because that was what drew me to Lance in the first place, the fact he was so wide at the top and then narrow.’

Williams, meanwhile, cut an emotional figure on Monday after the pair clinched silver. During their interview after the medal ceremony, Williams appeared to break down in tears reflecting on the passing of his former coach Dave Jenkins.

He told BBC Sport: 'It means a lot to me, from third last to second. My coach passed away after Tokyo, so I don't want to talk too much because I'm going to cry. I'm happy, I'm happy.'

And when asked how Jenkins would have viewed his performance, Williams responded, saying: 'Probably pretty proud. Do you want to talk for me?'

Jenkins sadly passed away in October 2021, and such was the impact on Williams, that he had considered stepping away from the sport.

Daley said: 'I've never seen Noah cry in my whole life, and I know how much this has meant to him.

'Dave has been such a key part in Noah's diving success and career, and it's very sad he's not here to be able to see this.

'But I know both Dave and my dad would be very proud to see us going in and doing a really solid performance for a silver medal.'

Daley has also left the door open to competing again in a record sixth Olympics in Los Angeles.

‘I don't know about six [Olympic Games], but I also said that the last time and here I am back,' he said.

'They also might be adding an event into the ‘28 Games in the mixed team, so who knows.’
