Italian defender Riccardo Calafiori is set to undergo his medical at Arsenal ahead of his proposed summer move to the Gunners, according to reports.
Calafiori was left out of Bologna's squad for their upcoming pre-season training camp as negotiations continued with Arsenal over a deal worth £33m plus £4m in add-ons.
A deal was agreed between the two clubs on Tuesday and Calafiori is now set to complete his medical at the Gunners before signing a long-term contract, as reported by the BBC.
Mikel Arteta's squad have already jetted off to the United States for their pre-season tour of the United States and hope Calafiori can fly over to link-up with the squad when his deal is complete.
Arsenal will play their first warm-up game against Bournemouth in Los Angeles on Wednesday before taking on Manchester United and Liverpool late on in Philadelphia.

Personal terms are not expected to be an issue with Calafiori keen to make the switch to the Premier League as Arsenal look to secure the signing of the defender.
Calafiori joined Bologna from Basel last year for just £3.4million and the Swiss club will receive 50 per cent of Bologna's profit when his move is completed.
Capable of playing at centre-back or left-back, Calafiori has five Italy caps, three of which came at Euro 2024.

The defender has been on an extended summer break following Italy's participation in Euro 2024 where the former champions were knocked out at the last-16 stage by Denmark.
Capable of playing at centre-back or left-back, he made a total of five Italy caps, three of which came at the European Championship in Germany.
Arsenal's only senior signing so far this summer has been David Raya, with the goalkeeper joining permanently from Brentford following his loan spell last season.
Calafiori's versatility could make him a major asset for Arteta, who likes for his players to be able to operate in different positions.
