Ryan Garcia has agreed to pay WBC light welterweight champion Devin Haney $500,000 per pound if he's over the 140-lb limit at Friday's weigh-in ahead of their fight on Saturday night.

The pair are set to face each other at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night after a tumultuous build-up that saw fans call for Garcia to be pulled from the fight.

Garcia - who heads into the bout with a 24-1 record after securing 20 knockouts and losing to Gervonta Davis in April 2023 - has been hitting the headlines for his alarming activity on social media and in interviews.

Haney has even shared his concerns over Garcia's mental state, stating: 'Something is wrong with this motherf**ker' during Thursday's press conference at the  Barclays Center.

Bill Haney - Devin's father, trainer and manager - questioned whether Garcia would even make weight during the official weigh-in on Friday morning before the ceremonial weigh-in on Friday afternoon.

Garcia responded to Haney's father saying he would pay $500,000 if he was overweight

Garcia responded to Haney's father saying: '[Let's bet] $500,000 [on whether I make the weight or not]. Come on $500,000.'

'Okay, that's a bet we'll make,' replied Bill Haney replied to Garcia. 'If you don't make weight, it's $500,000.'

'It's a bet,' Garcia responded before jokingly chanting and smiling: 'It's a bet. It's a bet. It's a bet. It's a bet.'

Haney decided to take it a step further and said: '$500,000 per pound [over the agreed weight]. Hey, Ryan. Let's do $500,000 per pound. You wanna shake on it?'.

Garcia obliged and the pair shook hands before continuing on with the rest of the press conference in New York City

Fans have taken to social media to express their concerns over Garcia's mental state heading into the fight on Saturday night.

Haney told Garcia is would need to be $500,000 for every pound he is overweight

Haney has even shared his concerns over Garcia's mental state, stating: 'Something is wrong with this motherf**ker' during Thursday's press conference at the Barclays Center

Earlier this week, Garcia posted that Australian porn star Savannah Bond had accepted his marriage proposal after filing for divorce from his wife Andrea Celina in January, after she had given birth to their second child.

He raised concerns on March 3 when a disturbing video claiming Garcia was dead after having his 'throat slit' was shared to his social-media accounts, which marked the first of a series of troubling posts by the boxer over the next 72 hours.

Garcia also alleged he was raped by a family member at the age of two, has picture evidence of aliens existing and has witnessed children being raped after being tied up in woodland by 'the elites'.

He then continued his bizarre rant by claiming an earthquake is set to 'destroy' Hollywood and Las Vegas while labelling X chief Elon Musk the 'Antichrist'.

As it stands, the fight  at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night is scheduled to go ahead as planned.
