Ryan Moore is encouraged by River Tiber as he gets set to race seven races at Curragh on Saturday.

There will be first-time rides with Unequal Love and Candleford, as well as Navan winner Camille Pissarro.

Here, Betfred ambassador Moore goes through his rides on Saturday.

Henri Matisse

We had five in here, and we run three of them. Any of the three could come out on top, as they all have the pedigree and have been going well enough at home.

It is just a matter of which one clicks best on their opening day at school. I ride the Wootton Bassett colt Henri Matisse, a half-brother to our Cheveley Park winner Tenebrism.

Camille Pissarro

We also had five entries in here too, but we run Navan winner Camille Pissarro and newcomer The Parthenon. I was impressed by the way Camille Pissarro went through the line at Navan and he would have been the obvious one of ours in here after that performance.

But the Kingman colt The Parthenon deserves his place in the line-up in this Group 3 on his debut on his homework. It’s a good race though, and all of the raced horses have something to recommend them.

Unequal Love

I haven’t ridden her before but she showed improved form to win at Newmarket on her return, and hopefully there is more to come from her. There will need to be, as she is up against Group 1 winners in here and she has a lot to find on the book.

Candleford

Another horse who I haven’t ridden before. Four relatively quick races probably caught up with him when he disappointed on his final start last season but before that he ran to a consistently good level, most obviously when winning at Windsor and when second to Bay Bridge at Kempton.

He carries a 3lb penalty for the Windsor Listed win but he clearly has a fair shout at this.

River Tiber

The placed horses in the Guineas, Rosallion and Haatem, set the standard in here, most obviously Rosallion, who is very much the one to beat.

But Unquestionable and River Tiber are not far behind him on their juvenile form. I think Aidan has confirmed that Breeders Cup winner Unquestionable, beaten by just a length by Rosallion in the Lagardere, will probably need the run after a setback last month, so I ride River Tiber.

He is a quick horse and he has his stamina to prove beyond 6f, but his pedigree gives you plenty of encouragement that he can stay a mile and the ground looks set to be decent, which will suit him.

And Mountain Bear, second to Unquestionable in Santa Anita, would not be a forlorn hope either after that much improved run in America.

Democracy

He’d have his chance on the best of his form in Listed and Group company but a mark of 94 is probably no more than fair, to be honest. But he is a course winner who is down in class.

Jan Brueghel

He is our chosen from six entries in this 1m2f maiden, and hopefully this brother to our Irish Derby winner Sovereign can go well on his debut. Ozark Daze is the one to beat on form but he doesn’t set too high a bar, and maybe one of the newcomers will take this.
