New York Giants and New Orleans Saints stars got into a scuffle during the second quarter of their game on Sunday.

The fracas started after Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito scrambled out of the pocket and rushed to pick up several yards. Saints defensive back Isaac Yiadom then came charging in and made contact with DeVito while he was going to the ground.

As his head hit the turf, DeVito's body spiraled around before he laid motionless for a spilt second. He then stood up and motioned to the Giants bench that he felt alright.

A few of the quarterback's Giants teammates reacted furiously and quickly got in Yiadom's face, creating a mass confrontation between the teams despite no ejections coming from the clash.

Originally, a personal-foul penalty was given to Yiadom but later revoked due to the referees believing DeVito started his slide too late to be considered giving himself up on the play.

DeVito did go into concussion protocol as a result of the hit, which displeased the Giants quarterback.

But after clearing the concussion checks he was soon back under center to start the third quarter.

Giants head coach Brian Daboll also said DeVito will stay the team's starter for next week's game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Saints won the game 24-6, which kept New Orleans tied atop the NFC South with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

New York's three-game win streak was snapped, as it fell to 5-9 overall.
