Hours before KTLA's veteran anchor Sam Rubin died of a heart attack, he posted his last interview on his social media pages. 

The beloved host of Hollywood Uncensored passed away on Friday after being rushed to the hospital in Los Angeles

He suffered a heart attack at home after doing his regular Hollywood news segment in the morning, according to Variety

Rubin shared an interview with actress Jane Seymour talking about her new Netflix movie, Irish Wish, on his Instagram.

Rubin can also be heard discussing Seymour's experience in Dublin and about her new episodes of her show Harry Wild on AcornTV. 

Since the announcement, fans and friends have flooded the comment section of his Instagram post. 

Actress Selma Blair reminisced, 'You were first on air interview , and one of my last. I feel so fortunate to have watched you and known you for so many years. Oh Sam! This is a sad moment , to know you are not here on this Earth. Your memory will be a blessing. Another beloved favorite! Thank you for your humanity.' 

While actress Laura Marano wrote, 'This truly doesn't feel real…Sam, you will be so, so missed. Morning news won't be the same without you.'

Actress Daphne Zuniga said, 'Love to you his family and close ones. Sam Rubin always made me happy!' 

ENews host Jason Kennedy wrote, 'We all loved you Sam,' and entertainment reporter Liam McEwan said, 'Rest in peace brother. We'll miss you on the carpets.'

Seymour also posted a tribute with picture of them together from the interview

One fan also wrote, 'I just can't believe it. I was just watching him on TV yesterday. They're saying that he had called in sick and all of a sudden, please always take this as a huge and clear reminder always take the time to tell the people you love that you love them so much tell them I love you because you never know when it is too late Life goes too fast. One day you're here in the next you're gone really just heartbroken.' 

Meanwhile, another wrote, 'Morning just won't be the same, I have been watching the KTLA Morning News since 1991. It's unreal to feel such grief for someone you have never personally met yet feel you have known for years. My prayers and thoughts are with your family both at home and at KTLA, as well as all you loyal viewers. Rest In Paradise Sam.'

Seymour also posted a tribute with picture of them together from the interview. 

She captioned, 'It's hard to believe that just yesterday I was with @samontv. I'm deeply saddened by the news of his passing. He was consistently kind, happy, and always ready to offer assistance with any project I was a part of. You will be missed Sam.'

He is survived by his wife Leslie and four children

Rubin had worked at KTLA since 1991, covering entertainment, movies and TV. 

Hollywood Uncensored with Sam Rubin ran for 120 episodes, produced by his production company SRE, Inc.

SRE has also produced more than 200 hours of programming for broadcast and cable channels, including Live From red carpet shows.

Rubin was also a founding member of the Broadcast Film Critics' Association.

He is survived by his wife Leslie and four children.

Rubin interviewed some of the world's most famous celebrities throughout his career

His KTLA colleagues have also made teary-eyed tributes to the veteran on-air. 

Longtime morning anchor Frank Buckley said, 'We don’t know what happened, but it was sudden'. 

Meanwhile, Eric Spillman added, 'I can’t believe we are reporting this — it is such a shock.' 

Many entertainment reporters have expressed sadness over Rubin's passing.

CNN's Elizabeth Wagmeister said on X, 'This is just awful. Life is so precious.

'Growing up in LA, Sam Rubin was a mainstay -- part of the fabric of the city because he was in our homes (on TV) for so long. I grew up watching him & always was excited to see him in action on red carpets. RIP.'

Actor Jerry O'Connell said, 'Sam Rubin was a LEGEND. Rest In Peace KING.'

An emotional Henry Winkler called in during KTLA's 1 pm broadcast on Friday and commented on the veteran journalist's 'warmth' and ability to put his subjects at ease.

'He made every human being feel so special, and he got them to open up like a flower,' said the 'Happy Days' star. 'He was interested in you as a professional, and he was interested in you as a human being.'

Perry Sook, chairman and CEO of Nexstar, called Rubin an icon and a beloved member. 

'Sam was an icon in Los Angeles and the entertainment industry and he was a beloved member of our Nexstar Nation. My prayers are with his family and the KTLA family as we mourn his passing. He will be missed,' he said. 

He had received multiple Emmys awards, a Golden Mic Award for best entertainment reporter and a lifetime achievement award from the Southern California Broadcasters Association.

He was also named best entertainment reporter by the Los Angeles Press Club. 

In 2013, Rubin was awarded the National Hispanic Media Coalition’s Impact Award for outstanding integrity in broadcast journalism. 

Apart from this, he also supported several organizations including the MS 150 Bay to Bike Tour along with LA schools and literacy programs.
