Scottie Scheffler secured a three-shot victory at the rain-delayed RBC Heritage on Monday to continue a dominant streak not seen since the best of Tiger Woods.

The world No 1 has now won four of his last five tournaments - including at The Masters earlier this month - with the only blip in that remarkable run coming at the Texas Children's Houston Open, when he finished tied second.

Scheffler led by five shots when the rain stopped Sunday's final round in South Carolina.

He had three holes to negotiate on Monday in order to collect another $3.6million before heading home to his wife Meredith, who is due to give birth to their first child in the coming days.

The 27-year-old bogeyed the par-four 18th but still finished on 19-under-par - three shots clear of Sahith Theegala in second.

Scheffler has now pocketed $18.69million this season - more than double the next highest earner, Wyndham Clark. The US Open champion finished third at RBC Heritage to take home $1.36m.

Scheffler has won four of his 10 events on the PGA Tour this season. He has finished in the top 10 in all but one of those tournaments. No other player has earned more than one victory.
