The head of the U.S. Secret Service has admitted the agency was 'solely responsible' implementing security when Donald Trump was shot by a would-be assassin.
Director Kimberly Cheatle had previously said local law enforcement was responsible for the area from which gunman Thomas Crooks, 20, hit the president with a bullet on Saturday at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Trump is now in Milwaukee, Wisconsin for the third day of the Republican National Convention where his running mate J.D. Vance is due to speak.
