The collision took place at around 7:30 a.m. near Kermit Johnson Elementary School in Pinson.
The kids were taken to Children’s of Alabama Hospital. The exact nature of their injuries is unknown.

The vehicle's driver had to be extricated from the wreck by fire crews, WVTM reports.
She sustained 'severe' injuries and was taken to UAB Hospital in Birmingham.
The van belonged to a third part company transporting the children to the daycare.
Their injuries were described as non-life threatening by Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, CBS 42 reports.
Emergency services remain on the scene and are urging motorists to avoid the area.
The crash took place on Bradford Road, near Highway 79.
It is not yet known what caused the driver to run off the road and hit the tree.
