MPs have criticised George Galloway after he shared conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales before she announced she had cancer.
Politicians have rounded on the newly elected MP for Rochdale for speculating that the future queen could have been 'dead' just days before she revealed to the world that she had been diagnosed with the deadly disease.
Mr Galloway, who claimed victory in the Rochdale by-election earlier this month, posted a series of tweets buying into baseless conspiracy theories about the Princess of Wales in the days leading up to her shock announcement last Friday.
He speculated that Kate was 'missing' or even 'dead' before claiming that a video showing the Princess walking round a farm shop with her husband Prince William, was not her and instead was a 'woman 20 years younger'.
Fellow MPs have now condemned his actions, with one calling the 69-year-old a 'stain on British democracy', while others slammed his 'grossly insensitive and unkind comments'.

The Princess of Wales took the extraordinary step of revealing to the world that she has cancer in shock announcement to the nation last Friday
The firebrand MP, who is the leader of his Workers Party of Britain, made a series of Tweets and appearances on his own talk show where he speculated about Kate's whereabouts since her last public appearance at Christmas.
On March 14, he tweeted: 'Princess Kate has been missing for almost 80 days. There’ve been three faked photos and millions of rumours. What are the royals covering up? Is she dead or has she downed tools?'
In the same week Mr Galloway spoke to former Tory politician and notorious conspiracy theorist David Clews, who once claimed the Covid-19 vaccine was 'committing murder', onto his chat show.
In the episode Clews claimed there was a 'high risk' that Kate 'may be dead because they’ve not provided evidence that she’s still alive'.
This came days after the release of a photograph on Kate's official social media channels for Mother's Day, which was later revealed to have been modified using Adobe Photoshop - fuelling wild theories as to her whereabouts.
Then just last week, Mr Galloway posted another Tweet casting doubt on the Princess's whereabouts after a video of her shopping at a farmer's market with her husband was published by The Sun.
The MP claimed the person in the video was 'clearly not Kate Middleton' and instead said it was 'a woman 20 years younger' than her.

Kate was last seen in public on Christmas Day 2023 with her family attending church at Sandringham before undergoing surgery in January
He added: 'The royals haven’t confirmed its authenticity. Kate hasn’t been seen in public since Christmas Day.'
Just hours later the Princess posted an emotional video of her sitting on a park bench telling the world about her shock diagnosis.
MPs from a number of different parties have since criticised his actions. Lib Dem MP Wendy Chamberlain told The Telegraph: “George Galloway’s style of politics is a stain on British democracy, and has no place in Parliament.
“Giving oxygen to conspiracy theories like this is the lowest of the low. He should be ashamed of himself.”
Former home secretary Priti Patel said the comments were 'grossly insensitive and unkind', adding: 'Such comments are a stark contrast to the compassionate and dutiful manner of HRH our much loved Princess of Wales.'
Labour MP Dame Margaret told the publication: 'These comments are abhorrent. Perpetuating such vile conspiracy theories is disgraceful. Their Royal Highnesses are entitled to their privacy at this distressing time.'
Mr Galloway has refused to apologise for his comments since the news of Kate's cancer emerged last week.

George Galloway is sworn in as the new Rochdale MP as he made his return to the House of Commons earlier this month
Yesterday the Twitter account of his talk show The Mother of All Talk Shows posted: 'Kate is alive but unwell. MOATS has been slammed by others for our inquiries in the last few shows about her health. But we were justified in querying the palace secrecy about it.'
During a clip from the show he added: 'We had every right to worry about her as it turns out she had not been seen in public since Christmas day.
'We have the deepest sympathy for Princess Kate...because we like her in the royal family. We were concerned about her then, we are concerned about her now.'
Mr Galloway's victory at last month's by-election - which he won after a hardline pro-Palestine campaign - was the seventh time he has been elected to Parliament.
He has also now represented three different parties in the Commons, having previously been a Labour and Respect Party MP.
