Shannon Sharpe was full of praise for Packers quarterback Jordan Love on Thursday after watching the youngster dominate in their Thanksgiving win over Detroit.

Love threw for 268 yards and three touchdowns as injury-ravaged Green Bay rolled into Ford Field and picked up an unlikely 29-22 victory.

The quarterback delivered arguably his best performance in the Green and Gold, completing 22 of 32 passing attempts.

He also rushed for 39 yards off three attempts - including the longest rush of his career on a crucial third down.

And Sharpe, the legendary tight end who won three Super Bowls in his career, was full of praise for the youngster's accurate passing.

Sharpe took to X to heap praise on the Packers quarterback's ability to throw the football

The First Take analyst posted on X: 'Jordan Love can flat out throw the (football emoji).

'The different arm angles in which he can release the ball from as a young player is INCREDIBLE.'

When one fan said it was about time Sharpe and other analysts praised Love, he replied: 'Never denied his talents, but he was making far 2 many mistakes.

'I’m NEVER going 2 compliment poor play.'

Christian Watson caught five passes for 94 yards and a touchdown for Green Bay. AJ Dillon gained a combined 81 yards rushing and receiving, while Jonathan Owens scored on a fumble return.

Sharpe previously claimed that Love's throwing motion 'looks a lot' like Aaron Rodgers'

There's huge expectation and pressure on Love to perform this season, now Aaron Rodgers has finally left the team.

The Packers used a first-round pick to bring Love to Wisconsin in 2020, even though they already had Rodgers, instead of improving the rest of their team.

Now, with three years of development with Rodgers under his belt, Love is the starter and has led the Packers to a 5-6 record this season.

It is not the first time Sharpe has praised Love this season.

In week one he said: 'Jordan Love looked gr8 on that opening drive. His throwing motion looks a lot like Rodgers.'
