Shocking moment four young shoplifters battle past staff to steal trainers from Nike shop in shadows of Wembley Stadium

A group of young shoplifters battled past staff to steal trainers from a Nike shop in the shadows of Wembley Stadium.

Phone footage shows the four male thieves attempting to leave the front door of the shop at The London Designer Outlet shopping centre next to the national football stadium in Wembley, northwest London.

A security guard, wearing a purple tabard, tries to stop the crooks leaving by pushing them back inside, but all four eventually manage to squeeze past him to freedom.

The youngsters can be heard screaming 'get the f*** off me' and 'let me out' as they throw the boxes of trainers onto the ground. After making it out the door, they try to collect the stolen goods and flee the scene.

Shocked shoppers at the mall - which also includes restaurants and is popular with England football fans on match days - watched on as the thieves carried out the raid on Sunday afternoon, June 30, at 4.30pm.

The video of the incident has since been circulating on social media and attracted a large number of views and comments from users.

One person fumed: 'Hope the parents are proud.', while another added: 'This country has no law or order anymore.'

A third simply put: 'Rotten little vermin.'

The Metropolitan Police said it was aware of the video being circulated on social media and confirmed it was investigating the incident.

All of the items taken from the store had since been recovered by staff and there had been no arrests so far, the force added.

A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: 'We can confirm that we are investigating the theft of goods from a sports shop at Wembley Park Boulevard, Wembley, on Sunday, 30 June.

'A group of males entered the shop and attempted to make off with trainers without making payment. All of the items taken were recovered by staff at the store.

'There have been no arrests. We are aware of a video being circulated on social media.'
