After he takes out a knife, the store worker leaps back before the pair talk to each other.
A Garda spokesperson said: 'Gardaí at Cabra were alerted following reports of an altercation at a supermarket in Ashtown, Dublin 15.
'It's understood a staff member was threatened at knife point by the customer who then left the premises empty handed.
'No one was physically harmed in the course of the incident.
'An investigation into the matter is ongoing.'

The riots were fuelled by unsubstantiated online rumours that the person behind the knife attack – which saw three children and a woman injured – was a foreign national.
