Simone Biles revealed the reason behind her iconic GOAT necklace after adding another Olympic gold medal to her resume.

On Tuesday, the 27-year-old bagged gold at the all-around event at the 2024 Paris Olympics and flashed a silver necklace with a goat pendant after her victory.

When asked about her statement piece, the most decorated gymnast revealed that it served as a reminder for her throughout the games.

'It's an ode. A lot of people call me the GOAT, so I thought it would be really special if I got one made,' Biles said. 'And the haters hate it, so I love that even more.

'It's just a special part of me that I have here as well as in the village - I have a stuffed goat just to get a reminder. Like, you can go out there, you can do it, you've done it before. So let's go.'

Biles' performance left no room for argument in the GOAT conversation as she earned her ninth Olympic medal and sixth gold. The tally would have been higher had she not withdrawn from the Tokyo Games in 2021.

Nevertheless, Biles' redemption story continued in dominant fashion as she bested Brazil's Rebeca Andrade and USA teammate Suni Lee, who bagged silver and bronze, respectively.

After barely edging her Brazilian rival on the vault, Biles was left fuming after botching a transition on the uneven bars, which saw her briefly surrender the lead to Andrade.

She was visibly irritated as she made her way off the podium, with replays appearing to show her mouthing to her coach: 'F**k'.

However, the Olympic legend soon proved why she is one of the best to ever do it by scoring 14.566 on the beam and 15.066 on the floor to snatch the victory from Andrade.

Besides her individual gold, Biles and Team USA secured the top of the podium in the team event earlier this week.
