Citizens living in Omsk, the third largest city in Siberia, were spotted in footage standing atop colourful paddleboards as they navigated the flooded areas.
With trees still dusted in a thin layer of snow, dozens of residents gathered in a flooded courtyard outside an apartment building on Komarova Street.
Issues with the drainage of melted water forced owners of the apartment to organise the hilarious mass swim.
Many were seen sailing around, and some thrill-seekers even swung off low-hanging branches over the icy pool of water and into the small boats.

'There was a lot of snow in the city this year and few people cleared it, but now it's flooded. Whole Venice . A standard yard in the city of Omsk,' one resident told a local news outlet.
Omsk's press service explained that the entrances to the apartments were not flooded and the sidewalks are also in satisfactory condition.
