Socceroos fans have lashed Channel 10 after the broadcaster admitted 'issues' meant viewers were unable to watch Australia's clash with Bangladesh online.
Beginning their World Cup qualifying campaign in Melbourne, the Socceroos got off to a fast start after Leicester City defender Harry Souttar found the net after just four minutes from a Craig Goodwin delivery.
But some supporters missed the goal after encountering problems with the broadcaster's stream of the game online.
'Can't watch Socceroos - error code 5000,' one fan posted on Paramount's Twitter account.
Socceroos fans were unable to stream the Aussies' game against Bangladesh on Thursday
The broadcaster replied: 'We are aware of a current issue impacting our stream on web browsers. We are looking into it, but in the meantime we suggest you tune in from a different device. We are sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.'
Another fan said: 'What is the error code 5000? Because there is no mention of it on the troubleshooting page.'
Footbal fever has swept the nation since the Socceroos' magical World Cup journey in Qatar last year. The Matildas emulated their male counterparts on home soil when Sam Kerr guided her side to the semi-finals earlier this year.
