Welcome back to the Soul of Sport. For our latest episode of the series, KEVIN QUIGLEY travelled to the Coral Romford Greyhound Stadium in Essex to capture all the action from this weekend's Coral Winter Bonanza meetings under the lights.

The stadium was originally opened in 1929 and celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2019, with the iconic venue being one of the most visited race tracks in the United Kingdom. After the Wimbledon Stadium was closed in 2017, Romford is just one of two greyhound racing arenas left in London, with the Crayford Stadium in Bexley being the second.

The stadium has also undergone a £10 million refurbishment in recent years, including a complete renovation of the stadium's Millenium Stand and the addition of a new restaurant. Greyhound racing is one of the most attended sports in the UK, with trainers coming from all around the United Kingdom to race at the historic stadium.

Captured over three days, Mail Sport's KEVIN QUIGLEY was on the ground to photograph the best moments from this weekend's meetings.
