Sydney commuters faced lengthy delays on Monday evening after a person near the tracks in the city's inner-west plunged the train network into chaos.
The individual was spotted at Burwood, prompting lengthy delays on both the North Shore line and the Western line as hundreds of thousands of people attempted to get home.
Huge crowds of frustrated commuters could be seen waiting for updates at Wynyard Station in the city's CBD.

'Services may be less frequent and trips may take longer than usual. Delays are expected to continue throughout the afternoon.'
Social media users were quick to vent their frustration at the hold-ups.
'How can a person near the tracks cause chaos over the whole system for hours?' asked one.
'I've been stuck near Blacktown Station for 30 mins without moving.'
More to come.
