The teenager killed in a horror crash on an infamous road has been identified as a talented footballer who won a premiership for his junior club.

Jordan Culley died after his vehicle veered off Indian Ocean Drive near Leeman, about 260km north of Perth, about 5am on Tuesday.

He was driving a Toyota Landcruiser station wagon which was heading south when the vehicle left the road and rolled over several times.

The 17-year-old suffered critical wounds and died at the scene while the three passengers inside the car at the time were rushed to hospital by emergency services.

Paramedics from St John WA took a 16-year-old boy and a 20-year-old man to Jurien Bay Hospital while an 18-year-old woman was airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital.

They are understood to be in a stable condition.

Culley was a popular and talented Aussie Rules player for the Cervantes Tiger Sharks reserve grade side in the Central Midlands Coastal Football League competition.

The club put up a heartfelt tribute on its Facebook page on Wednesday for Culley, who won a premiership with the club alongside his older brother Blake last year.

'It’s with a heavy heart that we’re making this post. In the early hours of yesterday morning Jordan Culley was tragically killed in a car accident,' the post read.

'The Club, and community, has lost one of its brightest young stars, at just 17 years of age.'

'Jordan has played the last two years in the Reserves, winning a premiership, along side his big brother Blake in 2022, and this year finished Runner Up Fairest & (sic) Best, and 3rd in the association, The Ian Wyatt Medal.'

'Jordan was a much loved member of the Tiger Sharks Family, and will be forever missed.'

Locals and several users also shared their tributes to the Aussie Rules player.

'Forever in our hearts. Amazing young man taken way too soon. Rest peacefully, Jordy,' one wrote.

'Very sad. Our hearts go out to the family,' another said.

'Party hard up there, Jordan. We love you, mate... Rest in peace.'

Footage of the crash site showed several items, including a guitar and a box of alcohol, strewn across the dirt along the side of the road.

Indian Ocean Drive is considered one of the deadliest roads in Western Australia.

Up to 190 car crashes have occurred on the notorious strip in recent years.

A man died in a two-vehicle crash on the strip in June this year after the two cars collided at the intersection of Lancelin Road.

Three Chinese tourists were killed in December 2018 when a ute crashed into a mini bus the visitors were travelling in after the driver of the utility suffered a medical episode behind the wheel.
