Taylor Swift mania has swept across Liverpool ahead of her 100th Era's Tour performance in the city tonight.

Anfield will host the megastar for three consecutive performances from Thursday to Saturday and the 150,000 Swifties descending on Liverpool for the shows have been offered the unique experience of reliving each of her 11 'eras' through incredible structures scattered around the 'Taylor Town Trail'.

Swifties' dedication to their idol is in no doubt after Edinburgh revellers could be heard for miles singing along to her hits last weekend and even got animated enough for seismologists nearby to record tremors up to four miles away.

On that  evidence, there will be no shortage of visitors for Liverpool's 11 art installations - each inspired by one of the singer's albums - which are open until the end of the weekend.

The structures include a set of giant red lips and a heart tunnel, but the first stop is a pair of 7ft-high butterfly wings at the Royal Albert Dock.

New installations - one for each of the singer's 11 albums, or eras - include these giant red lips as part of the Taylor Town Trail

A mural has been created to reflect Taylor's second album, Fearless

The wings, which Swifties can pose in the middle of for pictures to remember their tour visit by, are inspired by Taylor's self-titled debut album as it was the start of a blossoming career.

For her second album, Fearless, a colourful mural has been created centred around her lucky number 13 which is surrounded by nods to various tracks from the LP including a white horse and the number 15.

There is another mural dedicated to the musician to welcome her to Liverpool at the Phoenix Hotel, though this is not a part of the trail.

Speak Now was Taylors third era and album, and it is marked by a crows of microphones all in the iconic lilac which was so prominent on the original artwork.

They are found in the Metquarter shopping centre, just upstairs from the fourth new installation - the giant Red lips behind a red sofa - which is another great photo-op.

Visit Liverpool promises this piece is jam-packed with Easter eggs for fans to uncover referring to the album which boasted hit singles 22 and I Knew You Were Trouble.

Back towards the River Mersey, Taylor's fifth era is represented by a display of hand-crafted clouds and seagulls in a frame, allowing Swifties to recreate the album cover of 1989 (Taylor's Version) for themselves.

The next era, reputation, is marked by a black and gold throne surrounded by snakes and skulls - inspired by the attitude-filled album - at Liverpool ONE shopping centre.

Lover, the contrastingly upbeat subsequent LP, is portrayed by a heart tunnel back at Royal Albert Dock. That installation is specifically inspired by the track You Need to Calm Down.

Fans can take a 'Midnights inspired selfie' on arrival in the city at the tenth installation which is found at Lime Street railway station.

Each night of the Era's Tour's stop in Liverpool will see over 50,000 fans in attendance for over three hours of her greatest hits, including some sang with a piano or acoustic guitar, and a whopping 16 costume changes - all taking inspiration from each era that she sings.

For the first Liverpool performance, rumours have swirled over the possibility of a special guest to mark the tour's 100th date, with Paul McCartney, Lana Del Rey and Florence Welch all touted.
