US Soccer has announced its 18-player roster for the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Highlighting the squad are defenders Miles Robinson and Walker Zimmerman, who have both captained the United States' senior team in the past and are two of over 23-year-old players allowed per roster.

The United States has also selected midfielder Djordje Mihailovic as the third overaged roster member.

Other players making the flight to France who have appeared for the senior American national team include both goalkeepers, Gaga Slonina and Patrick Schulte, and defender John Tolkin.

Filling out the Americans defending corps are Caleb Wiley, Nathan Harriel, and Maximilian Dietz.

Zimmerman is the only player to appear for Team USA at the last World Cup on the roster

Tolkin also got the nod to join Team USA with plenty of experienced defenders around him

Gianluca Busio, Tanner Tessman, Jack McGlynn, Benjamin Cremaschi will play alongside Djordje Mihailovic in the midfield.

Team USA also called up five forwards for Paris led by Paxten Aaronson, the younger brother of USMNT mainstay Brendan Aaronson, and Wolfsburg's Kevin Paredes.

Taylor Booth, Duncan McGuire, and Griffin Yow round out the 18 named to Team USA.

Goalkeeper John Pulskamp, defender Jake Davis, midfielder Josh Atencio, and  striker Johan Gomez were named as alternates.

The United States has not played in the men's soccer tournament at the Olympic Games since 2008, when it used Brad Guzan, Michael Parkhurst, and Brian McBride as its overaged players.

The biggest omissions from Marko Mitrovic's squad are forward Diego Luna, who is on a tear with Major League Soccer's Real Salt Lake, and Bryan Reynolds, who represented the USMNT at last summer's Gold Cup.

Team USA has two pre-tournament friendlies against Paraguay and Spain before beginning Olympic play on July 24 against hosts France.

The Americans will also face New Zealand and Guinea to finish out the group stage.

The United States has not medaled in the Olympics in men's soccer since 1904. The Stars and Stripes best finish since then was barely missing the podium in 2000 in fourth place.
