US Olympic swimmer Ryan Murphy celebrated winning a medal at the Paris games, and then celebrated with his wife in the stands.
Murphy, born in Chicago and a native of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, won bronze in the 100m backstroke race.
All along, his wife - Bridget Konttinen - was standing in the seats and held up a handwritten sign for him to read.
'Ryan it's a girl!', the sign said.
He was later seen in the stands and hugging his wife before the parents-to-be shared a kiss.

Murphy also celebrated with his wife over a gender reveal via sign at the Paris Olympic Games
'I was walking back around and Bridget was holding up a sign and it said — 'Ryan, it's a girl,' ' Murphy recalled, according to the Associated Press. 'That was the first time I heard the gender.'
He added, 'We both — we honestly both thought it was going to be a boy. And everyone — like everyone — we were talking to, they thought it was going to be a boy.'
This marks Murphy's seventh overall medal - making him one of the most decorated American Olympic athletes ever.
He came behind Thomas Ceccon of Italy, who took the gold, and Jiayu Xu of China who beat Murphy to the silver by 0.07 seconds.
In February, Murphy credited Konttinen, his college sweetheart whom he married in September 2023, for his success as he prepared for the Summer Games in Paris.
'I think she's someone who definitely gets me just motivated about life,' Murphy said in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE. 'She's super optimistic, and I think that's just been really helpful for me in terms of my approach to the sport.'
