A teenager has been charged following the theft of footy jerseys worn by NRL star Jaxson Paulo.
Andrew Paulo, the father of the Manly Sea Eagles recruit, made an appeal on social media after the alleged burglary which unfolded at his Highland Park home on the Gold Coast last week.
'Please I'm asking anyone in the community and the NRL community to share this post,' he posted.
'These [jerseys] are priceless to our family and the sentimental value has caused huge sadness for me and my wife.
'I would ask the thieves or anyone who has seen or know the whereabouts of the jerseys to kindly return them or leave them somewhere they can be returned to us.

'Please we don't want anyone hurt, we are just praying they return my families treasures.
'No nasty comments please, we just want the jerseys returned.'
Queensland Police then issued a statement confirming a man, 19, had been charged following an alleged break in at a private address.
'Between 11pm on November 21 and 6am on November 22, an alleged break in occurred at an address in Highland Park, where a number of personal items were stolen,' the statement read.
Jaxson Paulo burst onto the NRL scene in 2020 with the Rabbitohs, and has since signed a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles after having a stint with the Roosters
Prior to the teen's arrest, Paulo's father made an emotional plea on social media for the jerseys to be returned
'A 19-year-old Redbank Plains man on November 24 was charged with the break-in.
'He faced Ipswich Magistrates Court on November 28 and was remanded in custody to next appear in court on December 5.'
Mr Paulo also revealed in his post the alleged break-in occurred in his home while his wife was asleep.
After making his NRL debut with South Sydney in 2020, Paulo joined bitter rivals the Sydney Roosters this season.
The flyer has since inked a three-year deal with the Sea Eagles from 2024.
He is one of several key off-season recruits for Manly, along with Luke Brooks, Tommy Talau, Nathan Brown and Corey Waddell.
