Texans defensive end Dylan Horton has announced that he is cancer-free after being diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma last year.

The 23-year-old NFL pro shared a heartwarming Instagram Story of himself banging a gong at hospital with family and friends to announce what is likely to be his return to the field this fall.

'Glory to God,' he wrote over the video, adding a checkmark emoji next to 'Final Treatment.'

In December, Horton shared that he had swollen lymph nodes via a statement from the Texans and that he planed to return after completing necessary treatment.

'Through God's grace, I'm blessed to say that I'm currently in remission! I am grateful for the love from my family and friends, and support from the Texans organization and my doctors,' he said.

Horton appeared in 10 games last season. He was a fourth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft

'My next objective is to complete my treatments, then get back to playing the game that I love. Thank you for your prayers and support as I continue this journey.'

Horton played at New Mexico and TCU before being selected by the Texans as a fourth round in the 2023 NFL draft.

Before leaving the team, he appeared in 10 games for Houston and tallied 13 tackles and two quarterback tackles with a recovered fumble.

Horton had a season-high three tackles in a 21-16 win against the Arizona Cardinals in November.

The Texans finished their regular season with a 10-7 record on top of the AFC South to secure their first postseason appearance since 2019.

The team would beat the Browns, 45-14, in the wild card before losing to the Ravens, 34-10, in the divisional round.
