The Houston Texans were inches away from rescuing themselves against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.
Unfortunately for Houston's backup kicker Matt Amendola, his 58-yard field goal attempt struck the bottom post with 35 seconds remaining - meaning Jacksonville left with the 24-21 win.
Amendola's kick appeared to be spot on until the final second. The Jaguars stood stiff watching the ball descend while their Texans counterparts had their hands raised, ready for a celebration.
Yet instead of getting in between the posts, the ball kissed the base of the U-shaped frame, bounced out and hit the turf.
The NGR Stadium crowd expressed their frustration in unison as the Jaguars sighed in relief.

Before going down to Amendola's game-stealing attempt, the close contest was a showcase for quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence and CJ Stroud.
Lawrence completed 23 out of 38 passes for 364 yards and a touchdown. Meanwhile, Houston's Stroud went 26-for-36 for 304 yards and two touchdowns.
With the Texans staying within striking range, Amendola had two opportunities to help his team but missed both of his field goals.
Amendola helped the Texans to a 30-27 win over the Cincinnati Bengals on November 12 after converting a 38-yard field goal late in the game.
However, Amendola is getting criticized for missing all five of his field goals from 50-plus yards.
With the loss, the Texans move to a 6-5 record this season. They are currently second in the AFC South and will face the Denver Broncos on December 3.
