There are just four weeks left of the NFL's regular season and almost the entirety of the playoff picture remains uncertain.
Only one team has secured a place in the postseason so far with the impressive San Francisco 49ers (10-3) guaranteed to be playing football after week 18.
The 49ers' win over the Seattle Seahawks last week, coupled with the Green Bay Packers' defeat by the New York Giants on Monday, sealed a playoff berth for Kyle Shanahan and his team.
Despite that, things are nicely poised in the NFC with the Dallas Cowboys (10-3) and Philadelphia Eagles (10-3) still chasing the 49ers for the conference's No 1 seed.
But the AFC is where the real drama is at. The Baltimore Ravens (10-3) are current favorites to take the No 1 seed but the electric Miami Dolphins (9-4) are chasing them down and you can never rule out the Kansas City Chiefs (8-5).
Here, DailyMail.com runs you through the state of play in the NFL's playoff picture ahead of what promises to be a thrilling final four weeks.

NFC
As mentioned previously, the 49ers are definitely into the playoffs. Now they just need to try and lock down the No 1 seed and secure both a bye and homefield advantage.
The 49ers asserted their dominance in the NFC in Week 13 with a sensational 42-19 win over the Eagles in Philadelphia.
They are starting to click at just the right time with five wins in a row - including two over the Seattle Seahawks.
But their two biggest threats are battling it out to win the NFC East title. The Cowboys currently have the upper hand on the Eagles, however, based on their division records (4-1 to the Eagles’ 3-1).
But while the Cowboys currently hold the tiebreaker, the Eagles would take the division title if they win their remaining four games.
Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers are the only team to secure their spot in the playoffs
Jason Kelce and Co have a favorable schedule down the stretch, too. They play the Seahawks, Giants twice and Arizona Cardinals.
And San Francisco are in the NFC's No 1 spot over the Cowboys because of their head to head record. The 49ers won their only meeting this season 42-10 back on October 8.
Elsewhere, the Detroit Lions' (9-4) grip on the NFC North has slipped away in recent weeks after losing two of their last four games - surprisingly to the Packers and Bears.
Both the Vikings (7-6) and Packers (6-7) - two other NFC North teams - are in the playoff places at present, despite failing to put together consistent performances this season.
The Vikings are without franchise quarterback Kirk Cousins for the rest of the season and have been missing Justin Jefferson for a number of weeks.
But with their star receiver due back this week, Kevin O'Connell will fancy his team's chances in the postseason.
Dak Prescott is having an MVP-caliber season with the Dallas Cowboys leading the NFC East
Jason Kelce and the Eagles started the season well but have suffered heavy defeats recently
As for the Packers, Jordan Love led them to hugely impressive wins over the Chiefs, Lions and Chargers to drag them into the playoff spots.
But they were brought back down to earth with a defeat by a Tommy DeVito-inspired Giants team on Monday night.
The NFC South is the only division in football to not have a team with a winning record, which shows how poor those four teams have been this season.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-7) currently hold a playoff spot but they have the same record as both the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints.
The Bucs and Falcons are ahead of the Saints based on head-to-head sweep (2-0) and Tampa is ahead of Atlanta because of their common games record (4-2 to the Falcons’ 3-3).

AFC
Thanks to the Kansas City Chiefs' struggles in recent weeks, the AFC is the most wide open it has been for a number of years.
Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and Co have pretty much dominated that side of the NFL for half a decade, featuring in every AFC Championship game since 2018 and winning two Super Bowls in that time.
Lamar Jackson has inspired the 10-3 Baltimore Ravens to the top of the AFC standings
But at 8-5 for the season, they are rapidly running out of time to take the No 1 seed and Mahomes could be forced to play his first-ever playoff game away from Arrowhead Stadium if they continue to lose games.
That has opened the door for other teams to walk through and Lamar Jackson has inspired the Baltimore Ravens to the top of the AFC standings at this moment in time.
John Harbaugh's team are currently 10-3 and lead the AFC North but the Cleveland Browns (8-5), Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6) and Cincinnati Bengals (7-6) ensure it's a tough division.
All of those but the Bengals are in the playoff picture at the moment.
Despite their struggles, the Chiefs are still top of the AFC West but have the Denver Broncos (7-6) breathing down their necks.
Although with appetizing games against the Patriots, Raiders, Bengals and Chargers to come, the Chiefs should cement their position as AFC West champions.

The Miami Dolphins and Tyreek Hill are playing some of the best offensive football in the NFL
The Miami Dolphins are playing some of the best offensive football in the NFL under Mike McDaniel and, as a result, they are the AFC's second seed at present with a 9-4 record.
Tyreek Hill and Co are atop the AFC East but the Buffalo Bills are in resurgent form and, with Josh Allen under center, could close that gap in the coming weeks.
The New York Jets are somehow clinging on to a playoff dream, and possible Aaron Rodgers return. While they are not mathematically out of the running, the Jets' race is surely all but run.
That just leaves the AFC South and the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-5) currently lead the way there.
Trevor Lawrence suffered a nasty high-ankle sprain two weeks ago and struggled on his return to action a week later against the Browns. Doug Pederson will be hoping his quarterback is fully fit because they cannot afford to be complacent.
Chasing them down is the in-form Indianapolis Colts (7-5), who are second in the AFC South and occupy the final playoff spot at present.
