The Taco Bell x Cheez-It collab is finally going nationwide-but only for a limited time

The future is cheesy at Taco Bell thanks to its release of two Cheez-It-themed menu items.

The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and the Big Cheez-It Tostada are now available for rewards members, according to the restaurant chain's May 30 news release.

'Taco Bell Rewards Members get exclusive Early Access to the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and Big Cheez-It Tostada on May 30, ahead of the nationwide release date, June 6,' the news release said.

Taco Bell has also confirmed that the products will only be available for a limited time.

The Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme will be available to purchase for $5.49 and the Big Cheez-It Tostada will be going for $3.99.

Taco Bell created the menu items with Kellanova - a company that manufactures Cheez-It products.

The companies began collaborating in 2022 and performed a limited-time test run for the Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme and the Big Cheez-It Tostada items at a Taco Bell in California.

The test run worked in the company's favor as the items received 'overwhelmingly positive reactions' from Taco Bell customers.

'This trial run proved to be incredibly successful as fans made it clear that the Big Cheez-It menu items brought something new to the table, something bigger than ever before,' the news release said.

Taco Bell then announced the cheesy items were becoming part of the restaurant menu at their first-ever Live Más LIVE event in February 2024 and that the Cheese-It cracker in the Tostada would be 16 times larger than a regular one.

'This collaboration isn’t just about bringing together two iconic brands; it’s about taking the spirit of fan innovation to create something truly larger than life,' said Liz Matthews, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer at the event.

The Cheese-It-themed items have similar ingredients, and the cracker featured in the Tostado is 16 times larger than the original one.

However, a massive Cheez-It cracker will replace the usual tostada shell before it is wrapped inside a grilled tortilla.

The Big Cheez-It Tostada includes all the ingredients featured in the Crunchwrap, except it has shredded cheese rather than the cheesy sauce.

Taco Bell customers who want to get more items with their Big Cheez-It Crunchwrap Supreme can do so by purchasing a Big Cheez-It Box for $8.99.

Other than the Crunchwrap Supreme, the box includes a five-layer burrito, nacho fries with cheese sauce, and a medium fountain drink.

X (formerly Twitter) users who were lucky enough to get early access to the Cheez-It have left both positive and negative reviews about the menu items in their tweets.

'All this excitement for something so simple. What is it other than a giant Cheez-It covered in ground beef, lettuce, cheese, and tomatoes,' an X user tweeted this morning.
