One of Tom Brady's former teammates expressed his skepticism over the Hall of Famer's ability to expand his arsenal and went as far as calling him a liar.
While expressing his admiration for Patrick Mahomes' style of play during an appearance on the Pivot podcast, Brady implied how he might do things differently if he were to re-do his NFL career.
However, former Patriots tight end Christian Fauria, who is now a talk show host at WEEI 93.7 in Boston, expressed his doubts about the statement.
'I think Brady is a liar,' Fauria said lightheartedly on his radio program.
'When I heard it, I was like, 'Who's he kidding? He can't change. He can't downshift. 'This is not who he is. He's not wired like Mahomes.''

Retired tight end Christian Flauria said Brady could not have changed the way he played
Flauria played in the NFL from 1995 to 2007, including a run with the Patriots from 2002-05. The retired tight end contributed to two of Brady's early Super Bowl titles.
Brady would go on to win a total of seven Super Bowl titles, including one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before hanging his cleats up. After a legendary career on the field, Brady will join FOX Sports as an NFL analyst with Kevin Burkhardt on a ten-year, $357million deal.
'I've seen him have a great time; I've heard him laugh and joke around,' Fauria continued.
'But when it came to the game, you could see it during certain passes, or where he won a game or got a first down.

In his legendary career, Brady became the most decorated player with seven championships
'He's extremely happy, he's celebrating like a little kid, but the reality is he is just wired so differently than Mahomes. Everything about him is different.'
On the other hand, Mahomes has led the Kansas City Chiefs to two consecutive titles and three championships in the last five years. The quarterback was crowned Super Bowl MVP in all three of their wins.
Despite besting Mahomes for his last ring in 2021, Brady had high praises for the Chiefs quarterback.
'When I see these young players, I see like Patrick out there at quarterback, running around, laughing, having fun,' Brady said. 'I'm like, 'I used to be like that. What the hell happened?'
'I just got too serious, but, again, I can only look back and think,' said Brady. 'Okay, if I do it again, which I'll never do again, I would be different.' But the reality is, you can't.'
