Tottenham are continuing talks with Genoa over the permanent sale of full back Djed Spence, who was on loan with them last season.

After an spell at Leeds was cut short by the Championship club, the 23-year-old spent the latter half of the campaign with the Italian side, making 16 appearances as they finished 11th.

Spence made his senior debut with Middlesbrough before playing an integral role on loan at Nottingham Forest as they secured a return to the Premier League in 2021-22.

Antonio Conte then brought the England youth international to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium the following summer in a deal reportedly worth £20million.

However, Spence has found opportunities hard to come back in North London, and has made just four Premier League appearances for the club.
