Travis Kelce has doubled down on retirement talk from the NFL in the latest New Heights podcast with his brother Jason.
On Monday, Kelce gave a revealing interview to Wall Street Journal about life off the field - including his romance with Taylor Swift - and said that stepping away from football goes through his mind 'more than anyone could ever imagine' because of the impact of 10 surgeries on his body.
'That's the only thing I've never really been open about, the discomfort. The pain, Kelce said. 'The lingering injuries - the 10 surgeries I've had that I still feel every single surgery to this day.'
Jason Kelce quizzed him about the comments on New Heights, joking that it is usually him rather than Travis who hints at stepping back sooner than later.
'Listen, this is my game,' Jason joked, having made similar comments earlier this season about his time with the Eagles. 'Don't steal my move. But you really haven't talked about it before, this is the first time you've been vocal about some of the things that make it hard, playing into your mid-thirties.'

Travis responded: 'Yeah, feeling it now more than ever. It is what it is.
'The surgeries take a toll, man. They take a toll. I was unfortunate I got the knee surgery but fortunate I haven't had any problems with that situation since then.'
Jason interjected: 'I would say a successful surgery. You've been available - I know you missed a gam, earlier this year but you've been available.'
'1000%,' Travis replied. 'Every one of them linger though. And it is what it is.'
Jason responded: 'What bothers you the most?'
'I don't know if I want to say,' Travis said. 'I don't want to tell, I don't want to give this to defenses.'
Travis is 34 and his current contract with the Chiefs expires in 2024. Jason, meanwhile, is the older Kelce brother at 36 and signed a new one-year contract to stay in Philadelphia.
The Eagles beat the Chiefs 21-17 on Monday to go 9-1 for the season while the Chiefs, last season's Super Bowl winners, are now 7-3.

Away from football, Travis has a growing portfolio of interests - especially in fashion. Last week, he combined with the Chiefs to release a new clothing range.
And his fame has risen rapidly in the last three months alone due to his romance with Swift.
He has also starred in several commercials, most notably for Pfizer encouraging people to take the Covid vaccine.
But in the meantime Kelce, a two-time Super Bowl winner, will focus on returning to winning ways with the Chiefs.
His team is back in action on Sunday against the Raiders in Las Vegas.
