Donna Kelce 'still berates herself' over the underwhelming response she gave to a question about meeting Taylor Swift for the first time.
During an appearance on The Today Show last month, Travis Kelce's mom appeared to throw shade at her son's new love interest by savagely playing down their first encounter at one of his Kansas City Chiefs games.
When probed for details on her meeting with Swift and what the pop superstar was like in person, Donna made headlines with her awkward response as she simply said: 'It was okay.'
Over a month on from the controversial interview, it appears Donna has regrets over her blunt answer to the question on Swift.
Kelce's mom is said to 'berate herself' to this day over her choice of wording on the show, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.

Travis called his mom straight after the interview to ensure she didn't feel bad, instead praising her for doing a 'super job'
In a feature piece profiling Travis' life as both a football player and one half of the latest celebrity super-couple, Donna reveals her initial aim was to not sound too keen to spill details on her son's private life.
However, when the outcome was more underwhelming than unenthusiastic, she was left ruing her cold response.
That is despite Travis calling her straight after the interview to ensure she didn't feel bad about the comment. Instead, the Chiefs star told his mom that she did a 'super job' while adding that her green eyeglasses looked great.
And now, Donna has no qualms with endorsing her son's relationship with the singer and songwriter.
'I can tell you this,' she said about Travis. 'He’s happier than I’ve seen him in a long time…. God bless him, he shot for the stars!'
Travis also lifted the lid on his whirlwind romance with Taylor and how the relationship has changed his life.
The NFL star, a two-time Super Bowl winner, has encountered a whole new level of fame since he started dating Swift this year, with things turning official when she turned up at Arrowhead Stadium for the first time to cheer him on in late September.
'There were definitely people she knew that knew who I was, in her corner [who said]: Yo! Did you know he was coming? I had somebody playing Cupid,' Kelce said.
It didn't take long for them to arrange a first date but even for Kelce, who usually exudes confidence on the football field, there were some nerves.

Kelce describes the build-up as 'Everybody around me telling me 'don't f*** this up' and me sitting here saying 'yeah, got it'
'When I met her in New York, we had already kind of been talking, so I knew we could have a nice dinner and, like, a conversation, and what goes from there will go from there.'
He said he was worried about making a mis-step in those early days: 'That was the biggest thing to me: make sure I don't say anything that would push Taylor away.'
But they clearly hit it off and Kelce describes Swift as 'hilarious' and a 'genius'.
'Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f***ing mind-blowing. I’m learning every day,' he said.
