A triangular parking spot only 4.5 metres wide has gone up for sale in Harrods' underground car park for £100,000.

Drivers will have access to park in one of the most affluent and well-situated areas in London; underneath the upmarket department store in Basil Street, Knightsbridge.

But customers may have trouble getting in. The triangular car bay is just 6.5 metres long and 4.5 metres wide at their biggest points.

Meanwhile, the average car is around 4.4 metres, with some reaching as wide as 5.4 metres, according to the AA.

Only Fools and Horses Del Boy’s three-wheeler might be the only car suitable for the job - with his 3.4 metre yellow Reliant Regal Supervan a perfect fit.

Normal parking spots are typically rectangular in size and have the dimensions 2.4 metres by 4.8 metres.

This could make maneuvering a vehicle to be particularly tough.

The hefty costs don't stop there either, with interested customers having to fork out an additional £1,130 per year in service charges.

Not only that, but if the buyer chooses to use it for an electric car, they must pay £1,000 upfront for a charging port licence and £100 per year.

The triangular bay is only available for people who live within 400 metres of Harrods.

The parking spot is being sold by Nicolas Van Patrick estate agents and advertised on Rightmove.

The description reads: 'Secure allocated parking space within the Harrods underground car park on Basil Street, directly opposite Harrods.

'Ideal location on the edge of The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, for Knightsbridge and everything the surrounding area has to offer.

'Restrictions within the head lease prevent the space from being assigned to anyone that is not a resident within a 400m circumference of the car park.

'The triangular space has a length of 6.5m and at the widest point a width of 4m.'
