Triple H has spoken on the key lessons he took from former WWE creative lead, Vince McMahon, with the wrestling legend revealing he puts fans at the heart of his creative direction.
Following the WWE and UFC's historic merger in September which was orchestrated by Endeavour Group, it was announced that McMahon would be stepping back from his responsibilities within the company, with Triple H, also known as Paul Levesque, subsequently taking over as the WWE's chief content officer.
It will be the first time in history that the wrestling organisation will not run under a McMahon name, with McMahon taking over from his father, Vince McMahon Sr, back in 1982, but Levesque admitted that the former CEO still has some creative impact on the WWE's output.
'Vince taught me years ago, you put yourself in the seats and you'll never go wrong,' the 54-year-old said to Sports Illustrated.
'You've always got to maintain that perspective. I started out as a fan. Book what people want to feel and see.'

Triple H admitted that McMahon had told him to keep WWE fans at the heart of his creative decision-making process
Having enjoyed a 25-year-run in WWE, where he became a five-time intercontinental champion, two-time European champion and two-time Royal Rumble match winner, Triple H stated the role was suited to him, claiming he has seen 'all the various stages of' the industry and 'understands the process'.
And he shared his booking philosophy, claiming he puts a big emphasis on delivering what fans want to see.
'Writing this stuff is a feel,' he said. 'You can analyze stories and how they come together, but how does it make you feel? If you can make people feel those stories, they're going to be invested in the product.

Triple H (left) also admitted that the brand's connection with its fans 'is a big part of their core'
'That's how we try to approach, find that ultimate emotional place for the talent and the characters and the stories they're in.'
Levesque also added that success was interlinked with the brand's connection with their fan base, adding that WWE stars want to deliver a top quality package for spectators.
He added: 'We don't take our fan base for granted. And the way our talent operates is different from other generations. They want to go out there and put on the best possible show they can.'
'A lot of these kids are already invested–they grew up wanting to do this. And if they didn't, they fell in love with it by learning from people who grew up wanting to be in this business, and that's how they learned the respect for it. To me, that's what makes you successful. That connection with our fan base, that's a big part of our core.'
