Arsenal have departed for their pre-season tour of the United States, but revealed two first-team players aren't making the trip after suffering injuries.
The Gunners got their pre-season campaign underway with a 2-0 friendly win over League One side Leyton Orient on Friday and are now set to jet off to America.
Clashes against Bournemouth, Man United and Liverpool will provide Mikel Arteta's squad with stern tests ahead of the new Premier League season getting underway before they return for the start of the new season.
Captain Martin Odegaard will lead a 26-man travelling squad to America with a host of other senior players and academy hopefuls making the long-haul trip alongside him.
However, two players that won't be making the journey are defenders Takehiro Tomiyasu and Kieran Tierney who are both remaining in London to undergo further treatment.

Declan Rice, Bukayo Saka, Aaron Ramsdale, William Saliba and Davis Raya will also miss the tour as they are given a longer rest period following participation in Euro 2024.
Tomiyasu is receiving rehabilitation for an existing knee injury with Arteta keen to not rush the full-back into action at risk of causing further damage.
Meanwhile, Tierney will also miss the trip after suffering a hamstring problem during Scotland's clash against Switzerland at the European Championship.

Both players will continue their recoveries at Arsenal's training base and will now likely need further time to prepare for the start of the Premier League season.
Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah are two of the stars that have been named in Arsenal's travelling squad despite both of their futures remaining uneertain.
Fulham have already had a bid rejected for Smith Rowe while Crystal Palace are also wanting to submit a formal offer for the playmaker who has had his Arsenal future disrupted by injuries.
Additionally, French side Marseille are interested in a deal for Nketiah as they look to partner him with Mason Greenwood in attack.
