Two pensioners in their 90s have been found dead in a picturesque port town, but police have confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the tragedy.
Kent Police have launched an investigation into the deaths at a home in the medieval centre of Sandwich after being called to a home just after 10am.
Officers say the man and woman were discovered dead at the residential address in a narrow street named The Butchery in Kent.

Concerns had been raised to the police for the couple before they were found.
Kent Police say they are not currently seeking anyone else in relation to the deaths.
Sandwich councillor Dan Friend wrote on X: 'There is an incident currently occurring at The Butchery.
'I've received an update from the police. There is a multi-agency operation, the incident has been contained and there is no danger to the public.
'There will be a heightened police presence for the rest of today at least.'
A Kent Police spokesperson said: 'Kent Police was called to a property in Sandwich town centre shortly after 10am on Monday following concerns for two people.
'Officers attended and two people in their 90s were pronounced deceased at the scene.
'Enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing but police are not currently looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.'
