Miami Dolphins star wide receiver Tyreek Hill is out for today's game against the New York Jets with an ankle injury, the team announced.
Hill was seen going through warmups without his ankle taped, but he won't play against the Dolphins' AFC East rival.
Miami's decision appears to be out of caution as Hill would have tried to further build his MVP resume and get closer to the 2,000-yard receiving mark.
Hill suffered the injury during the first quarter of the Dolphins' Monday Night Football game against the Tennessee Titans while being tackled out of bounds.
Hill only played 33 snaps during the game, after briefly returning from the locker room.

Hill later revealed he was talked into returning to the game after receiving a text from his wife that said 'You'd better get your ass back in that game, dawg.'
Keeta Vaccaro Hill didn't offer her husband support, and now, he's not playing in a full game.
