Footage has emerged of the protesters chanting anti-war messages and waving flags at University of Michigan's graduation ceremony on Saturday.

Many robe-wearing student-demonstrators could be seen waving Palestinian flags and yelling, 'Palestine will live forever,' and 'Disclose, divest, we will not stop, we will not rest,' as the event went on.

In one video, people can be heard cheering and clapping for the graduates as their name is called on.

While in another video, several graduates can be heard yelling, 'Shut the f*** up,' in a sing-song voice while another decries, 'You're ruining our graduation!' as other students chant.

One protest banner read: 'No universities left in Gaza.'

A plane also flew overhead during the ceremony with a message 'Free Palestine' and 'divest from Israel now.'

As a retort, another plane circled the area that said, 'We stand with Israel. Jewish lives matter.'

No arrests have yet been reported and the protest - comprising of about 50 people, many wearing traditional Arabic keffiyeh along with their graduation caps - did not cause serious problems at the nearly two-hour event.

Saturday's incident comes just one day after University of Michigan's School of Music faced a similar anti-Israel protest, lasting only a few minutes before police arrived.

US Navy Secretary Carlos Del Toro, who was delivering a speech, was forced to pause multiple times and said, 'Ladies and gentlemen, if you can please draw your attention back to the podium.'

As he administered an oath to graduates in the armed forces, Del Toro said they would 'protect the freedoms that we so cherish,' including the 'right to protest peacefully.'

The university has allowed protestors to set up an encampment on campus, but police assisted in breaking up a large gathering last night, and one person was arrested.

Some schools have reached deals with the protesters to end the demonstrations and reduce the possibility of disrupting final exams and commencements.

While other tent encampments have been dismantled and protestors arrested in police crackdowns.

More than 2,400 people have been arrested on 47 college and university campuses, according to the Associated Press.

At Princeton, in New Jersey, 18 students have also launched a hunger strike in an effort to push the university to divest from companies tied to Israel.

Princeton senior David Chmielewski, a hunger striker, said that it started with them consuming water only.

He said the hunger strike will continue until university administrators meet with students about their demands, which include amnesty from criminal and disciplinary charges for protesters.

Other demonstrators are participating in 'solidarity fasts' lasting 24 hours, Chmielewski said.

Princeton students set up a protest encampment, and some held a sit-in an administrative building earlier this week, leading to about 15 arrests.

Students at other colleges, including Brown and Yale, launched similar hunger strikes earlier this year before the more recent wave of protest encampments.

Columbia University, where the protests first began, moved the rest of the year to a hybrid learning style after Hamilton Hall was taken over and renamed 'Hind' Hall by protestors.

The University of Southern California has cancelled its primary commencement ceremony as a result of the protests.
