50 Cent on Monday addressed a possible legal battle against a photographer who claims the rapper maliciously ordered him to be hit with a car door last fall.
The plaintiff, Guadalupe De Los Santos, filed the lawsuit Monday in Los Angeles Superior Court, TMZ reported after reviewing legal docs in the case, in which De Los Santos has retained famed attorney Gloria Allred, 83.
De Los Santos told the court that the musical artist, 49, told a member of his entourage to topple him from an electric scooter he was riding on last September 11 after the rapper's book signing at The Grove in Los Angeles.
De Los Santos, who was at the outdoor shopping center to take professional pictures of the rapper - whose hits include Candy Shop, P.I.M.P. and If I Can't - said he was injured in the incident.
De Los Santos told the court that the exchange with the rapper and his friends took place as he was filming footage after the signing at a red light close to the shopping center.
De Los Santos said in legal documents that the passenger door of the SUV 50 Cent was in abruptly opened, pushing him off the scooter he was riding on.

De Los Santos said he was struck on his left side, made contact with the street and was injured, adding that his scooter was also broken in the course of events.
De Los Santos told the court he his injuries left him unable to work for an extended period - and with significant medical expenses - leading him to pursue damages from the rapper.
50 Cent's legal team Monday evening told TMZ that they had not yet been presented with legal documents connected to the suit - but would aggressively contest it.
'Mr. Jackson has neither been served with or seen a filed copy of a lawsuit filed by Ms. Allred’s firm,' a lawyer for the Grammy-winning rap artist told TMZ Monday.
The attorney continued, 'However, if and when such a frivolous claim is filed and served, rest assured that Mr. Jackson’s legal team will swiftly move to dismiss the matter and seek the maximum costs, fees, sanctions and other remedies that are available under law.
'Based upon the leaked reports presumably by Ms. Allred, Mr. Jackson is not alleged to be the driver of the vehicle or even the individual who the Plaintiff paparazzi alleges opened the door as he charged a vehicle as it drove away from the bookstore.'
The outlet said it could confirm that the lawsuit 'was not leaked' but rather obtained from public records after it was filed.
Dailymail.com has reached out to Allred's office for further comment on this story.
