A woman has a 'new favorite campfire story' following an Airbnb stay gone wrong in Utah

A TikTok user named Emily explained in a video that a 'creepy' message spotted by her friend at their Airbnb drove them to flee the property and bunk at a hotel inseatd.

The message, which came in the form of Scrabble letters arranged on a refrigerator, read: 'GET OUT.'

'I packed my bags immediately,' Emily said in the clip.

A Rhode Island woman shared a horrifying experience she had at a Salt Lake City Airbnb rental

Emily revealed in the August 23 clip that 'vibes were off' once she and her friends arrived at the Salt Lake City rental.

Once they put their bags down, they noticed it was a 'little dirty' and that it smelled like cat urine.

Things got worse after Emily realized there were groundskeepers living in a 'basement area' of the house.

They then returned to the property's Airbnb listing and found reviews from two women who 'kind of felt weird' when they stayed at the house.

Emily explained that she and her group proceeded to get ready for dinner when the TikToker's friend admitted that she felt like someone was listening to them.

Another friend insisted nothing was out of the ordinary and that the strange feelings were imagined.

After returning home and hearing a thump under the floorboards, the women decided it was best to just go to bed, she said.

The guests found a note reading 'GET OUT' on a refrigerator

The guests realized there were groundskeepers living in a ' basement area ' of the house.

Emily said she had already changed into her pajamas when her friend discovered the 'GET OUT' note on the kitchen refrigerator.

By then, all of them were terrified and they decided to leave, the TikToker explained.

No one called the police, she said, and Emily wrote in her post's comment section that they were 'too scared' to contact the property owners.

'I start calling hotels, and I'm like "Where's the closest one that I can afford with no hours of notice in the middle of the night,"' Emily said.

The renter and her friends then spotted a sign that said 'Get Out Gym,' she said, and it made her never want to go to Salt Lake City ever again.

The traveler said she contacted Airbnb, and the company began investigating the situation while paying for a hotel room.

TikTok users were creeped out, with multiple commenters speculating about the rental.

'Cat pee smell can mean a meth lab (cause of the ammonia). My theory is the people downstairs have started cooking meth and didn't want you around,' one commenter wrote.

Emily responded, revealing that one of her friends also thought it was ammonia.

'I think the owners had bad intentions, whatever they may have been,' another commenter added.

'Them living in the basement would've been enough for me to leave.'
