All the debate questions and issues ABC moderators did NOT push Kamala Harris on - as Donald Trump slams '3 against 1' affairs

1 week ago 6

The moderators of Tuesday's presidential debate have been accused of being biased and only fact-checking Donald Trump - while letting Kamala Harris' claims go unchecked.

Right-wing pundits and social media users say ABC's moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis repeatedly fact checked the former president while letting Harris off the hook on several issues, including her positions on fracking, the economy and Afghanistan.

Meanwhile Trump was fact-checked on several issues, including abortion, Obamacare, the January 6 riots and the unfounded claim that migrants have been eating pets in Springfield, Ohio.

Trump, shortly after he left the stage in Philadelphia, sent out a message on his social media platform: 'I thought that was my best debate, EVER, especially since it was THREE ON ONE!'

The former president also called into Fox & Friends on Wednesday and slammed ABC for fact-checking his claims in real time while not doing the same for VP Harris.

Right-wing pundits and social media users say ABC's moderators David Muir and Linsey Davis repeatedly fact checked the former president while letting Harris off the hook

'It was 3-to-1, it was a rigged deal as I assumed it would be because when you looked at the fact they were correcting everything and not correcting with her,' Trump said.

Journalist Abigail Shrier said: 'The moderators didn't fact check Kamala Harris on Project 2025. The moderators didn't fact check Kamala Harris on IVF. They just fact-checked Trump for the fourth time.'

A Trump campaign account pointed out that Harris wasn't telling the truth, as Trump has adopted a more progressive line on IVF, or in vitro fertilization. He declared that he would make the expensive procedure free for Americans.

'Kamala is LYING again. President Trump has said he wants to make it easier for mothers and fathers to have babies, including supporting IVF in every state', they wrote.

Linsey Davis claimed that Trump was lying when he said that states are allowing for post-birth executions.

Muir said Trump claimed falsely that immigrants were eating pets in the town of Springfield, Ohio.

Harris was not fact checked by either during the debate.

Donald Trump Jr also accused ABC of selective fact-checking, writing on X: 'The moderators didn't fact check Kamala when she invoked the Charlottesville lie.'

Harris repeated the debunked rumor that Trump said there were 'fine people on both sides' of a Nazi rally in Charlottesville.

Trump Jr added: 'The moderators didn't fact check Kamala when she lied about changing her position on fracking.

'The moderators didn't fact check Kamala when she repeatedly lied about President Trump positions.'

Former Democrat Tulsi Gabbard, who has endorsed Trump, said on ABC after the debate that the moderators failed to fact-check Harris on several claims, including when she said Trump wants a federal abortion ban as well as a birth control ban.

Megyn Kelly shared several posts accusing the moderators of being obviously against Trump, saying ABC should be ashamed.

A CNN snap poll conducted shortly after the debate had Harris beating Trump 63-37 when viewers who watched it got asked who won

The podcaster wrote: 'These moderators are a disgraceful failure and this is one of the most biased, unfair debates I have ever seen. Shame on you, ABC.'

Kelly added: 'The pile-on against Trump is so bad and so obvious this will backfire.'

She continued: 'Omg MORE FACT CHECKING FROM ABC - THIS IS THE WORST ANCHOR PILE-ON I HAVE EVER SEEN. 3 against 1.'

Opinions on how ABC handled the latest debate Tuesday were, in a large sense, a Rorschach test on how supporters of both sides felt about how it went.

MSNBC commentator Chris Hayes sent a message on X that the ABC moderators were doing an “excellent” job — only to be answered by conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, who said, “this is how you know they’re complete s**t.'

Following the debate, Harris said she would like to debate the former president again before the November election.

Trump was non-committal after taking to the 'spin room' minutes after the contest, saying he'd have to think about it.

A CNN snap poll conducted shortly after the debate had Harris beating Trump 63-37 when viewers who watched it got asked who won.

Trump did allow 'maybe if it was on a fair network' he would do it. He complained that it was 'three against one,' a reference to the times ABC moderator interjected with fact checks on Trump's comments.

Trump gave himself a good review, calling it his 'best debate ever' even while grousing about the moderators.

Hannity pressed him again at the end of his interview on whether he would do another debate, and Trump still sounded disinclined. 'The reason you do a second debate is if you lose, and they lost … But I'll think about it,' he said.
