President Joe Biden stepped on Vice President Kamala Harris' appearance on The View on Tuesday when he praised Florida Governor Ron DeSantis' for 'doing a great job' with Hurricane Milton preparations.

Biden made the remarks during a dueling appearance with the vice president who less than 24 hours earlier criticized the Republican governor as powerful Hurricane Milton barrels toward Florida.

Harris and DeSantis publicly butted heads on Monday when they accused each other of playing politics after DeSantis did not take calls from the vice president.

But in an update on hurricane preparedness on Tuesday, Biden said he has spoken to 'all political leaders in the region' and some of them more than once and shared that he gave DeSantis his personal phone number.

President Biden praised Governor Ron DeSantis for hurricane preps putting him in an awkward spot with his vice president who criticized the governor not taking her calls. Biden's remarks came as he and Harris held dueling appearances on Tuesday

The president said they have gotten an overwhelming positive response from everyone from 'the governor of Florida up to North Carolina.'

He said he spoke with with DeSantis Monday night and gave him his personal number to contact him in the White House.

'The governor of Florida has been cooperative. He's said he's gotten all that he needs,' Biden said in response to a question from a reporter.

'I talked to him yesterday,' Biden said. 'I said "No, you're doing a great job. It's all being done well. We thank you for it." And I literally gave him my personal phone number to call.'

He said every governor has been cooperative and supportive of what the team is doing.

It comes after Harris tore into DeSantis on Monday for not taking her calls as the hurricane approaches the state later this week.

'You know, moments of crisis, if nothing else, should really be the moment that anyone who calls themselves a leader says they’re gonna put politics aside and put the people first,' Harris said.

The vice president make the comments as she spoke to journalists at Joint Base Andrew before her departure for New York City.

She said 'playing political games at this moment in these crisis situations, these are the height of the emergency situations, it's just utterly irresponsible, and it is selfish.'

DailyMail.com confirmed DeSantis did not take the vice president's calls this week.

When asked about not taking a call during a press conference on Monday, DeSantis said that he was not even aware she had called.

'I didn't know she called me. I saw that, but I wasn't aware of that,' he told reporters in Tallahassee.

At the time, he also claimed he didn't know the president called either but insisted the state has gotten everything it has asked for.

'I've been able to contact all of the governors,' Biden said Tuesday when asked about misinformation. 'They're sticking up for what they asked for. They're pointing out that they're satisfied with everything they're getting.'

Biden's praise on Tuesday not only clashed with what the vice president said on Monday, but he also made his remarks at the same time as his vice president was appearing on The View.

It is the second time in recent days that Biden and Harris have appeared publicly for separate events at the same time.

On Friday, when Biden made his surprise stop in the White House press briefing room for the first time ever, it came just as Harris was set to give remarks before firefighters and other union workers in Michigan.

CNN even accused the president of 'overshadowing' the Democratic presidential nominee on air as the network cut to the president taking questions from reporters as the vice president was also holding her event with a crucial group of voters.

But even has the pair hold dueling events and Biden appeared to throw Harris under the bus with his remarks, the vice president has had nothing but praise for her boss.

During her appearance on The View on Tuesday, Harris went so far as to say there is nothing she would change in terms of what Biden has done during their time in the White House.

'There is not a thing that comes to mind,' Harris said.
