Brother of Taylor Swift backup dancer stops Travis Kelce touchdown, intercepts Patrick Mahomes in the end zone in shock sequence

Khalen Saunders may have had his star-making moment in the NFL on Monday night, intercepting Patrick Mahomes in the end zone and returning the ball nearly 40 yards to give the Saints good field position. 

Saunders was uniquely pointed out in a video package right before the play as the brother of one of Taylor Swift's backup dancers, Kameron Saunders, who is prominently featured on her 'Eras Tour.' 

Khalen Saunders is a former Kansas City Chief who signed with New Orleans last year. 

On the play before the video package aired, Saunders tackled Swift's boyfriend and his former teammate, Travis Kelce to the turf. 

Swift and Kameron Saunders are both at the game at Arrowhead Stadium.  

Kelce joined Kameron Saunders and Swift on stage on June 23 during one of the 'Eras Tour' shows at Wembley Stadium as a fellow back-up dancer. 

Kameron has gone viral on social media several times during the 'Eras Tour' for his dance improvisations and his unique phrases he utters during 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.' 

One of his improv lines of 'Up yours, w****r!' in London made Swift break on stage. 

Khalen's interception led to one of two Saints touchdowns in the game, a Derek Carr pass to Foster Moreau. 

Saunders and Kelce did win two Super Bowls together with the Chiefs in 2020 and 2023. The Chiefs stayed undefeated with a 26-13 win over the Saints. 

On the national radio broadcast of the game, Kevin Harlan called Saunders' interception a 'thick pick.'  

Chiefs players Mecole Hardman and Chris Jones congratulated Khalen after the game, giving him kudos for picking off Mahomes. 

Former NFL defensive lineman JJ Watt gave the stunning recap of the situation after the sequence finished. 

'Taylor Swift’s backup dancer’s brother Khalen Saunders just tackled her boyfriend Travis Kelce to stop him from scoring a touchdown. On the next play, he intercepted Patrick Mahomes in the end zone,' Watt said on X.

'Did not anticipate explaining that to (wife) Kealia (Watt) when she walked down the stairs.'

Despite Saunders best efforts, the Chiefs stayed undefeated with a 26-13 victory, which also marked the Saints third-straight loss.  

Kelce had another promising game after a slaw start to his season with nine catches for 70 yards and a team-high 10 targets. 

Swift's boyfriend is still without a touchdown in his first full season as the 'Anti-Hero' singer's beau.
