Conservative commentator Candace Owens has confronted former CNN host Don Lemon in a heated interview, telling the gay journalist that his marriage is 'sinful'.

Lemon asked the 35-year-old point-blank if she thought he was 'sinning' for being in a same-sex marriage in a July 12 interview on 'The Don Lemon Show' podcast.

'You think I'm sinful because I'm married to a man?' Lemon asked to which Owens' responded confidently, 'Yes' before doubling down on her comments.

'It's a sin ... You're sinning. You're in a sinful relationship. I actually don't believe marriage can be between two men,' she told Lemon who is married to a 40-year-old man, Tim Malone.

'I hope you deal with that,' the ousted Daily Wire host who has recently come under fire for antisemitic comments said referring to Lemon's sexuality. 'I obviously want you to be Christian and to understand why it is that sodomy is a sin.'

The mother of two even suggested that 'people should get help' for their sexuality.

Lemon, who was fired from CNN last year, attempted to be more confrontational, asking the far-right host if she was homophobic but Owens dodged the question.

'Are you homophobic' he asks while chuckling uncomfortably.

Owens replied awkwardly, saying, 'You're such an absurd human being.'

'What does homophobia even mean,' she said. 'You think I'm scared of two gay men walking down the street, she said. 'I don't fear anything but God.'

Lemon pointed out that many people who view gay marriage as sinful might also view Owens' interracial relationship as 'sinful,' but Owens responded that she has never heard of that argument in a biblical context.

Just a day after the interview was released, Owens bizarrely claimed that during their heated exchange, Lemon was actually trying to bait her into using a homophobic slur.

She sensationally discussed it with her own viewers, saying Lemon was egging her on to call him a 'f*****.'

'Ladies and gentlemen, I am not OK right now. I need to talk to you guys because something has happened regarding which I may never recover,' Owens said.

'[Don Lemon] straight up asked me if I wanted to call him a f*****. Yeah, he was goading me to call him the F word.'

'I'm a 35-year-old mother. I don't go around being like, 'Hey, you're a f*****.' I'm not 18 years old,' she continued defensively.

'I'm not going around calling people names, period. And I wouldn't go up to a fat person and call them names. It's an absurd thing to be going around pointing and calling people names because I don't like them. I would know, so the answer is no, I would not,' Owens added.

This comes after the controversial commentator has been consistently slammed for her antisemitic comments and for pushing historically false narratives.

She has recently come under fire for her denial of the atrocities of the Holocaust, including the human experiments that Nazi physician Josef Mengele conducted on prisoners at Auschwitz.

She was called out for her 'increasing embrace of antisemitic tropes' after claiming on her show last week that Mengele's horrific twin experiments were 'bizarre propaganda'.

Mengele - nicknamed the Angel of Death because he selected who would be murdered in gas chambers - carried out a series of cruel tests on twins throughout the war, which included sewing them together to create conjoined twins.
