The swimming portion is the first part of the games and was scheduled to begin in the early morning, but was canceled after police went looking for the athlete around 8am.

Đukić said in a social media video CrossFit is the 'only thing I'm good at' and said he 'works hard' because he knows his fellow competitors are.

'I know somebody is working hard next to me, so he pushes me hard both mentally an physically,' he said. 'I can't let my brother beat me.'

His brother Luka also participates in CrossFit challenges. Luka has not publicly commented on his brother.

Đukić also said he was hoping to make the podium this season.

'It was a real struggle coming from a small country that didn’t have a single CrossFit box when I started,' the four-time CrossFit Games athlete told More Than Fitness in 2023.
