A father sobbed over his 22 year-old daughter's hospital bed before she was wheeled off to donate her organs after being killed during a fight with her boyfriend.

Robert Moreno was seen crouched over daughter Zahriya's body Wednesday, after she was taken off life support at Banner University Healthcare in Tuscon, Arizona.

Highly emotional footage showed Zahriya - whose twin brother Izac died in a 2021 motorcycle crash - being wheeled away for surgery as more than 100 family, friends and staff clapped.

The practice is known as an honor walk.

The young trainee esthetician lost her twin brother in a motorbike crash in 2021, with Zahriya's tragic death bringing further anguish to her grieving family

More than 100 people turned up to wave and clap Zahriya off at Banner University Healthcare in Tuscon. The practice of forming a guard of honor for a person who has donated their organs is known as an honor walk

Robert, who works as a fire captain, told KOLD: 'Being as we lost our twins, it’s going to be a lot of darkness in the future and we’re going to push through that as difficult as it is because that’s what our daughter would have wanted for us.

'I’m devastated.'

The stricken father says Zahriya had never recovered from the death of her brother Izac and added: 'It’s wonderful to know that parts of my baby will live on, but there’s no words, no anything that will ever be able to make this better.'

Zahriya died Monday after an argument with her 25 year-old boyfriend Angelito Adrian Olivas, police say.

She is said to have jumped on the trunk of his car to try and stop him driving off, only for Olivas to do so, with Zahriya falling to her death from the moving vehicle.

Olivas found his girlfriend of a year-and-a-half unresponsive and drove her to a nearby firehouse, before she was rushed to hospital and later declared brain dead.

Zahriya climbed on the trunk of her boyfriend's car during an argument and he drove off with her still on it, cops say. She later fell off the vehicle and was fatally-injured

Olivas has been arrested on charges of felony domestic violence, aggravated assault and felony endangerment

Robert said he woke up on Wednesday knowing that Zahriya was going to be taken off life support

Zahriya's dad said of the honor walk: 'The outpouring of support is something I wouldn't have fathomed in a million years,' he said.

'I thought it was just going to be family and friends.'

He and his family described Zahriya as a 'very strong girl' who 'just graduated recently from esthetician school'.

She was active in JROTC and wanted to do that full time.

Meanwhile, Olivas has been arrested on charges of felony domestic violence, aggravated assault and felony endangerment.

He was released later in the day after posting a $2,500 bond - infuriating Robert.

'It almost seemed like a joke,' he said.

'I'm disappointed in the judge, the legal system.'
