His father-in-law Gary Brenckle told DailyMail.com that he was feeling positive about returning to the site for the rally.

'I feel good, I feel like they got enough police around,' he said, and added with a chuckle, 'Hopefully they went through al the buildings and everything and looking at the top and getting inside too.'

'I brought him to see a president and be a part of history, I didn't think we were going to be that part of history,' he said.

A former serviceman in the military, he recalled hearing gunshots at the rally in July.

'After the first two pops I knew what they were, I grabbed my son and yelled 'Get the f down, that's the military instinct in me.'

Michael said he was disappointed after that experience to hear people who hate trump to express their regret that the shooter missed.

'People wanted this to happen I don't understand why they feel that way,'

He admitted that if they hadn't stopped for chili-cheese fries that day in July, they probably would have been in the bleachers where people were hit by the bullets.

So just like last time, they arrived for the rally and got in line for some food. When asked what he was going to order, he grinned and said, 'Chili-cheese fries.'
