Demi Moore reveals 'crazy' way she lost weight after giving birth a second time

2 months ago 12

Demi Moore recently reflected on the intense workout regimen she adopted after giving birth to her second daughter, Scout Willis, in 1991.

Living in Malibu with then-husband Bruce Willis, the actress, now 61, committed to biking 30 miles each way to the set of Indecent Proposal daily, pushing herself to extreme lengths to regain her pre-pregnancy shape.

'I put so much pressure on myself,' Moore explained during CBS Sundays. 'I did have experiences of being told to lose weight. And all of those, while they may have been embarrassing and humiliating, it’s what I did to myself because of that.'

She recalled: 'I think she was, like, five or six months old when we were shooting [Indecent Proposal]. So, I was feeding [Scout] through the night, getting up in the dark with a trainer, with headlamp, biking all the way to Paramount, wherever, even on location where we were shooting; then shooting a full day, which is usually a 12-hour day; and then starting all over again.

'Even just the idea of, like, what I did to my body, it’s, like, so crazy, so ridiculous.'

Along with Scout, 33, Moore shares daughters Rumer, 36, and Tallulah, 30, with ex-husband Bruce, 69.

The CBS Sunday interview comes after Demi shared that her decision to demand a groundbreaking $12.5 million salary for her role in Striptease was influenced by her desire for pay equity, not competition with her then-husband, Bruce Willis.

Moore became the highest-paid actress in Hollywood with the 1996 film, where she portrayed a stripper.

Speaking on The New York Times' The Interview podcast, she explained that her request wasn't about matching Willis's star power but about ensuring she received fair compensation for her work. '

'It wasn't about comparing myself to him. Yes, I saw what he got paid. It was really more about: "Why shouldn’t I? If I'm doing the same amount of work, why shouldn't I?"' she explained.

Moore recently opened up about how she supports her daughters as they navigate their father Bruce's frontotemporal dementia diagnosis.

Moore, who was married to the Hollywood icon from 1987 to 2000, shared her approach during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show.

The actress discussed the guidance she offers her children on how to stay connected with their dad while he faces the challenges of a condition that affects his cognitive functions.

'What I say to my kids is you meet them where they're at. You don't hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment,' she said.

Moore continued: 'And from that, there is such beauty and joy and loving and sweetness. When I'm in L.A., I go over every week, and I really treasure the time that we all share.'

Rumer recently shared a positive health update about her father, reassuring fans that the iconic actor has been doing 'great.'

In the August post, Rumer shared an image of herself holding her father's hand while answering a question about how the actor has been doing amid his health woes.

Rumer said, 'He is great. I love him so much. Thank you.'
